About KD
KD Hill, a former Ole Miss football player and recipient of the prestigious Chucky Mullins Award, exemplifies courage, leadership, and resiliences. After Attending rookie minicamps with the NFL's Bills and Jets and being drafted by the XFL Orlando Guardians, KD's promising football career was abruptly halted by a severe car accident just days before NFL training camp in July 2023.
Facing life-altering chellenges head-on, KD remainded composed even as he was trapped in his vehicle for five hours, undergoing multiple surgeries and losing his right leg below the knee.
Rather than succumb to despair, KD embraced his situation with a spirit of defiance, famously saying "try me" instead of "why me". His journey of overcoming adversity has inspired many, leading him to share his story on GMA3 and through his book, "The Uphill Climb: The KD Hill Story". Through his speaking engagements and literary work, KD continiues to influence and inspire diverse audiences as well as positive mindset in the face of life's toughest challenges.
