HLX Community League

Tournament Rules

Format:

Bo5 Round Robin group stage. 2-3 series per week. 
Top 16 qualify for Bo5 Single Elimination playoffs.

Dates:


Group Stage: Thursday, 13 February 2025 - 19:00 GMT // 20:00 CET
Group Stage: Thursday, 20 February 2025 - 19:00 GMT // 20:00 CET 
Group Stage: Wednesday, 26 February 2025 - 19:00 GMT // 20:00 CET
Playoffs: Wednesday, 5 March 2025 - 19:00 GMT // 20:00 CET

Eligibility: 


Open to Universities, High Schools and Military Services in EU only
Participants must be in the HLX Discord, prior to tournament start.
Players on a Team must attend the same University, High School or Military Services branch.

Team Rules: 

- Teams may register up to 2 Substitutes. These must be registered prior to the event start. 
- Substitutes are allowed to swap onto active teams between games of a series, during the 60 second wait phase.
- Substitutes are allowed to swap onto active teams between series. 


Game Rules:

DFH Stadium. All other standard maps are permitted, provided they are agreed upon by members of both teams.
- Every match played in the HLX Community League is a Best-Of-5.
- Lobby details must be setup and shared between Teams via Discord. 


Rescheduling:


If teams are unable to play a series at their allocated match time, they must contact a Tournament Admin at least 48 hours before their match time, asking to reschedule. If the opponents are unable to reschedule before next weeks standard kick-off time, a Tournament Admin may outline the next best course of action, or if this system is seen to be abused, forcibly declare a series winner. 

High School Eligibility:

- All Players on a Roster must attend the same Academic Institution.
- Players must be 13 years or older. 
- Players must be studying at ISCED Level 3 or higher. See here for details. For further explanation, speak to a Tournament Admin.

Military Eligibility: 

- All players on a roster must serve in the same country and branch.
- Players serving abroad or undergoing offshore placement are allowed to participate.


University Eligibility:

We consider UniRocketeers to set a gold standard for University competition. As such, Institution Eligibility (5.1) and Academic Status (5.2.1) rulesets for eligibility outlined by UniRocketeers will also apply here. For further explanation, speak to a Tournament Admin. 


Streaming:

HLX will be streaming all weeks of play here at HLX_GG on Twitch.
HLX will determine streamed matches ahead of the day of competition and share their schedule to all Teams via the HLX Discord.

All players are permitted and encouraged to stream and share their perspectives of competition.

No-shows and DQs:

Teams have 12 minutes from their allocated match start-time to establish contact with their opposition prior to a Series and join a private match. Teams that exceed these numbers will be deemed to have lost the series 0-3 (0-1, 0-1, 0-1) by a Tournament Admin.

Prizing:

1st: $250
2nd: $100
3rd: $50

Player Conduct:

Hyperluxe Gaming is committed to ensuring the best possible experience for all of its competitors. All players are expected to display Good Sportsmanship, Respect, and Competitive integrity while participating in this event, or any affiliated events, and while communicating on any official Hyperluxe Gaming platforms.

Tournament Moderators may issue warnings, but warnings are never required. Ban appeals are allowed, but proof must be required to elevate the issue.

Toxicity:
Cursing (with harmful intent)
Sexism
Racism
Homophobic/Transphobic remarks
Mass Taunting
Bullying
Lewd/NSFW remarks or posts


Payouts:
After winning a tournament, HLX has up to 30 days to disperse tournament winnings. However, payment will usually be sent within 24 hours. HLX covers fees to send payment, but be aware that depending on the amount being sent, you could be paying fees as well. Any  payment related questions should be directed to HLX staff.

Moderators reserve the right to interpret these rules how they feel best upholds the Hyperluxe Gaming Community Guidelines, which may vary from the rules listed above. All players have the right to ban appeals, if you would like to appeal a ban, contact the tournament moderator who issued the ban and they will elevate the issue.
