Tournament Rules
Tournament Day:
On the day of the tournament, you might be unsure of what to do. Tournament organizers (TOs) will be online and available to help, but here is a general overview of what to expect.
Check in for this tournament will take place via the HLX website and bracket, with a button that shows you are ready to play. If you are having trouble reaching the website, please contact a TO to let them know your status.
During the tournament, players will be called in for their matches by TOs via an Online Smash Arena Code, which will be able to allow players to play while a TO is watching/recording the match. The TOs will be spectating, and only when the TOs say that they’re ready should the players start bans or gameplay.
If no TOs are available during a scheduled match, then one or both players are asked to document or record the event in some way or capacity. Saving a replay on the console, screen-recording the match, or taking a picture of the results page post-match are all sufficient ways to prove the results of a match. Once this is done, send this over to a TO with the names/nametags of you and your opponent.
Once your match is complete, the TO will report and gather evidence to add to the HLX bracket. Depending on your results, you may be playing again later. Brackets will be updated live during the event, please check back after your match to see your next start time.
